“Take a Look at Me” is a song by Pussycat. It was released as a single in 1982 and did not appear on an LP. The song was written by Günter Lammers and Dave Colman and produced by Lammers with Juan Bastós. On the B-side is the song If you go that was written by Werner Theunissen.
With the single, a different direction was chosen, in which Theunissen no longer wrote the A-side of the single. There was also a change of producer. The steel guitar was replaced by the synthesizer, so that they switched from country rock to more electronic rock music.
The single was in the Tip 30 for three weeks but did not make it to the main charts.
The song is about a woman who has always thought she had found the man who would make everything happen. However, she is still waiting for the moment when he says he loves her.
