In 1989 Reinders produced his CD ‘Homecoming’ himself. People like George Kooymans, Ernst Jansz and Tony Willé play on this record. Music Maker speaks of ‘a gold mine for people looking for a good song’ and Jip Golsteijn calls them ‘best Dutch album in times’
A great wish will come true in the 2015/2016 season. Gé is going out solo for the first time. It is directed by Jessica Borst, who also works with Sara Kroos, Brigitte Kaandorp and Pieter Derks, among others. De Limburger: ‘It shows how loving Reinders treats his music and especially his audience.’
In addition, the double CD Solo will be released, which he largely recorded on his own. The first disc ‘Songs for Toni’ contains English songs that he wrote for Toni Willé. This is the singer from Brunssum who had a world hit with Pussycat. She already sang choirs on Gé’s first CD ‘Homecoming’ and Gé still loves her voice.
