” Daddy ” is a song by Pussycat. It appeared in 1979 on a single and their album Simply to be with you. Both this and the song on the B-side, Three steps and then, were written by Werner Theunissen. The single was produced by Eddy Hilberts and the arrangement came from Paul Natte.
The father in the song is a sailor who has sailed the seven seas, from England to Japan. He told his daughter that it is better to live at home and this is what she discovered herself.
