In september 1976 behoorde de Limburgse band Pussycat tot de absolute top in de hitlijsten. Na “Mississippi” en “Georgie” vond het nummer “Smile” ook gretig aftrek onder het publiek. Onder het genot van een kop koffie vertelt Pussycat-gitarist Lou Willé uit Heerlen het verhaal achter deze plaat, in het radioprogramma De Zalige Zondagmiddag.
