Jaguars

(Theo Wetzels – bass and vocals, Jo Haas – 12-string and leadvocals, Wiel Deutzenberg – Solo and vocals, John Theunissen – solo guitar, John Snijders – Drums and vocals)

The 1960s Jaguars, originally founded as the school orchestra of the former Peterus and Paulus MULO in Schaesberg, enjoyed great popularity in this region at the time. However, due to military conscription, the group fell apart. Again later they were seen together again in the formation ‘John Bassman’. The proceeds of their elpee ‘Fifty Sky’ benefited an association for disabled people.

After the demise of this group, attempts were made to reassemble the original formation. That did not work because not everyone was ‘free’ and not because two members were part of the group ‘Sweet reaction’, which would eventually become the internationally renowned formation Pussycat.

Scum

In 1973, three more members of the metal band Scum were added: drummer Theo Coumans, guitarist John Theunissen and bassist Theo Wetzels.

In those years the band was led by Werner Theunissen and Henk Hochstenbach (ex-The Sharons, ex-Goldwings) and Hans Lutjens played with them until 1973. Lutjens returned to Pussycat in 1978.
